All this week the BBC are showing a nightly programme about lambing time on a Cumbrian farm. I watched the first one last night and it had a very interesting feature about the Swaledale and how it developed as a breed. There will be similar features about other breeds including the Manx Loaghtan so have a look. The link to the programme website is here.
